Oh, The Places We Go...

Three to four days a week, Noah and I pack up the stroller and our bottles (mine of water, his of milk) and head to Baby Boot Camp.  When we get there we put on our sunscreen and I hook his little fan up to his stroller so he stays comfortable in the heat.  We greet the other moms and babies, then Noah settles into his stroller as I stretch for the work out ahead.  Sometimes he naps, and sometimes he prefers to be held during lunges and bicep curls.  My favorite times are at the end of the workout when he is awake and joins me for crunches and plank- he sits on my belly and smiles as I lift my head toward him.

Noah has had some very special days at boot camp.  He made his TV debut our second day there. Here is the link to view the piece that was aired- http://www.winknews.com/features/health/17159711.html?skipthumb=Y
Noah is the cutie sleeping in the stroller in case you weren't sure.  Pay no attention to the lady doing the bicep curls! (That was twenty pounds ago and I would rather not relive it...)

Yesterday was another special day for Noah at Boot Camp because his dad joined us.  We started off with a short brisk walk to our starting point for the work out during which Scott asked "Is this all you do?"...  When our "Drill Sergeant" announced we were at the halfway point of our workout, he promptly exclaimed "I'm gonna die!"  At the end of the workout, sweat pouring down his face, he graciously thanked our "Drill Sergeant" and told me he is proud of me- Thank you sweetie :)

Last night, after he returned from golfing he told me he could no longer stand up and I needed to carry him from the recliner to bed.  I asked him if he thought it was from the golfing... he said it must have been, because he was certain the wall sits, squats, lunges, running (up stairs), plank jump, and hip work out earlier could not possibly have been the culprit.

On Tuesdays, Noah joins his buddy Harper at Mother Goose Class at the library.  This class is half an hour packed full of nonstop singing, bouncing, and book reading.  I was a bit uncomfortable at first, because as some of you already know, singing gets under my skin a little.  I lost that uncomfortable feeling when we were there last time as Noah stood himself up in my arms, talking and squealing in excitement, proclaiming to the class his love for all things Mother Goose.  Prepare yourselves everyone (with earplugs), here comes a singing, bouncing mommy!
