Happy Birthdays!!

Noah wanted to give a shout-out to all the birthday Babes he knows are celebrating this week:

Happy Birthday (9/14) to his "Aunt" Amanda- he loves you very much!

Happy 6 month Birthday (9/16) to his best bud, Harper!  We are looking forward to our next playdate!  (We will work on his sharing skills...)

Happy 2nd Birthday (9/16) to his cousin Blake!  His favorite days at Gramps's house are the ones with you!

Happy Birthday to Gams too (9/18)- he is so lucky to have you!!

Noah also wanted to say 'Thank you' to his cousin Paige for the great dinner we had with her and her parents Friday night.  He loves your dog and your toys- thank you for sharing both!  You are a gracious host just like your parents~!

He will be dreaming of you all tonight... right after he has his bottle, of course.

If Noah was born back then...

I noticed this sight on Kelley's blog and could not resist... Please forgive the double chins- his face was a little small to fit...
Here is what Noah would look like in 1964

Here is what he would look like in 1968

And, here is what he would look like in 1980- how do you like those sideburns?
Oddly enough, this photo reminds me of my dad... "Grampa Red"

Class and Style!

Noah just wanted to show everyone his new teeth.  As you can see he is currently working on a fourth- so much for that gummy-grin!

And here he is rockin' his suspenders!  How many 7-month olds do you know who can pull off suspenders?!  Many thanks to Tommy and Trevor Penn for this ensemble.

Kitties and Teeth

These are Noah's cats, Bailey (left) and Phoebe (right).  Phoebe and Noah are best buds- she lets him pull on her hair and tail, chew on her ear, climb on her, and torture her in various other ways.  No matter what he does, Phoebe always comes back for more.  He loves her very much.
Noah's other cat, Bailey, is a mystery to him.  Scott calls Bailey Noah's "unicorn."  She is pretty to look at but will never let Noah touch her.  This does not stop him from trying though.  No matter where he is or what he is doing, the minute he spots Bailey he immediately scrambles across the floor in an unsuccessful attempt to catch her.  When eating in his highchair he will pause to smile and stare in awe when she passes.

Another of Noah's favorite things is his toothbrush.  Yes, we realize he only has two teeth.  Actually, one more pearly white dared to surface this week.  He now has two bottoms and one top and is beginning to resemble "Grannie" from the Beverly Hillbillies.
Though Noah does not yet possess a full set of chompers, we have been "brushing" his gums for months.  Gerber makes an infant friendly toothpaste with a rubber brush that fits on your finger.  Each night before bed, we "brush" Noah's teeth (gums) with this little "brush."  He gnaws and sucks until our fingers are sore and then kisses us goodnight because he is confident in his freshness of breath.  The little yellow brush is another favorite.  This was put into use once he actually popped out some teeth.  I certainly hope his current joy of dental hygiene bodes well for the years to come.

This week in Pictures

Noah enjoyed his naked-time so much when he had his diaper rash, we give him a little bit every day after his bath.  A couple messes every once in a while are worth it for this smile.  It helps prevent more diaper rashes, plus, I don't know who I was kidding- our carpet never had a chance anyway.

And, here is further proof Noah has learned to pull himself up!  Once again, in the buff...

Perhaps we need to work on table manners next.

Here's one more- just for good measure:

Noah, we can't take our eyes off of you...
